R&B and the Hospice Hike!

On the 4th May, 10 intrepod explorers from R&B are entering a team to complete the St John’s Hospice Hike.

We will be embarking on a remarkable journey, climbing over 3000ft across 3 peaks in the breathtaking Lake District, covering over 15km (8 miles).

It is all part of the amazing St John’;’s Hospice charity Challenge, where over 50 local companies have come together to each raise a minimum of £500. In 2023, a remarkable £35k was raised. further information can be read here.

R&B Contribute to the massive £35k total

The St John’s Hospice 50-50-500 Charity Challenge 2023 saw businesses in Lancaster and Morecambe fundraising in all sorts of ingenious way to raise a massive £35,000.

And on Friday, they were invited along to the hospice to enjoy drinks, food and an awards ceremony.

St John’s fundraising executive, Lily Knight, said: “The entire St John’s Hospice team thanks you for all of your continued hard work throughout the challenge.

“With the amount raised, every single person who took part has made a genuine impact on the care and support we are able to provide to our patients and their loved ones.”

R&B Support Cancer Care

We Ratcliffe & Bibby are proud to be part of the Cancer Research UK Will Scheme. This essentially enables supporters of Cancer Research to make Wills free of charge or at a reduced cost depending on their complexity. Recently, we have accepted a Certificate detailing that we are within the top 5% of all supporters of the Scheme by way of donations to Cancer Research and this gives us great satisfaction to know that our work goes to help such a good cause.

The breakthroughs being made across the Northwest are only possible thanks to the generosity of Cancer Research UK supporters. With this support Cancer Research UK funds over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK. More than a third of Cancer Research UK projects are funded by gifts left in Wills.

Legacies breathe life into researchers’ work. They enable long-term research projects that lead to new treatments and continue to save lives for generations to come, leading us to a world where everybody can lead longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
